MyCareerVerse was founded by Angela Curran, a practicing guidance counsellor who saw first-hand how students and parents struggled to access clear, reliable career information at the moments that matter most — choosing Leaving Cert subjects, exploring CAO options, and making sense of the many pathways available after secondary school.
Rather than a technology-first platform, MyCareerVerse is practitioner-led. Every tool, resource, and piece of content is shaped by real experience in the guidance room, grounded in the frameworks set by the Department of Education, NCGE, and IGC standards.
Working alongside an Educational Technologist, Angela has built a platform that blends professional guidance expertise with thoughtful technology — bringing the depth of a school counselling session into an accessible, always-available digital experience.

Angela Curran recognised that students needed access to reliable career guidance outside of limited school appointment slots. The idea for a digital, always-available resource took shape.

The Careers2026 database, Career DNA assessments, CAO Course Explorer, and Subject Choice tools were developed — each grounded in real student needs and Irish curriculum requirements.
EU Pathways & AI Training
Study abroad resources, apprenticeship guides, and AI-in-education training for schools were added — broadening the platform from student-facing tools to a comprehensive guidance ecosystem.
Growing the Career Guide Library
In-depth guides for Computer Science, Primary Teaching, Engineering, Nursing, Creative Arts, Agriculture, Pharmacy, and Architecture are in development — alongside expanded counsellor toolkits and professional resources.
